Bespoke’s Gavin Donovan, gives us some of the reasons he loves living in Terenure.

Terenure is a suburb to the south of Dublin City which is a primarily residential area, known for its red brick Victorian homes, leafy streets and village with plenty of facilities including shops, supermarkets, schools, restaurants and cafes.

Located just 4km from St Stephens Green in the City Centre, this central village is a great neighbourhood for access throughout Dublin while keeping its community village feel. Both public and private transport make Terenure a great base for heading in or out of town, with the M50 not far down the road or bus routes offering easy access.

Terenure has plenty to offer, including its many green spaces, such as Bushy Park or the grounds of Terenure College at Lakelands. Bushy Park offers lots of activities for adults and children, with its playground, football and GAA pitches, tennis and paddle club, or walks around the lake and through the forest.

The hub of Terenure’s social life are its many pubs and restaurants, including Brady’s or the recently upgraded beer garden at the Two Sisters. Restaurants including the award winning Circa or the staple Italian, Mario’s are vibrant and varied.

Home to plenty of great schools, including Terenure College and Our Ladies School, the area is an ideal neighbourhood for families. Many local sports clubs are based in Bushy Park and the Iveagh Grounds too, with the Spawell Leisure Centre just up the road in Templeogue offering golf, football and many other kinds of activities.
